David Clarke OBE is one of the most influential figures in Paralympic sport, known for redefining what elite performance looks like when conventional assumptions are removed. Blind from early childhood, he became a dominant force in international blind football, representing England and Great Britain for 17 years and scoring over 100 international goals, including appearances at the Beijing and London Paralympic Games.
His authority extends beyond sport. Alongside a successful career in banking, David has held senior leadership roles within disability and sporting organisations and is now Chief Executive of Paralympics GB, responsible for leading the organisation that prepares and represents Team GB at the Paralympic Games.
